Mundy Scholarships

CEE endowment established to support international study

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology is pleased to introduce the Joe S. Mundy Global Learning Experience Endowment Fund.

This generous endowment has been established to allow selected CEE students the opportunity to participate in an international experience during their enrollment at Georgia Tech. The purpose of the fund is to provide insight into other cultures, thereby affording a competitive advantage for CEE students to become better leaders in a global community. The Mundy Fund supports worldwide learning experiences that will increase the value of the student's CEE degree.

Undergraduate students will be given priority in decisions to support travel, although there may be reason to support travel of eligible graduate students and faculty, particularly when accompanying undergraduates. Participants must be American citizens in good academic standing, who are majoring in Civil and Environmental Engineering or who are part of an ongoing research project within the School. Applications must be submitted to Professor Donald Webster, CEE Associate Chair for Undergraduate Studies, and reviewed by the Awards Committee twice a semester. Recommendations are given to Professor Joe Hughes, Chair of CEE, for final approval.
