GTI/UTC announces fall seminar series

GTI/UTC is delighted to annouce our speakers for the fall semester.

Gary McVoy is the New York State Department of Transportation Director of the Operations Division. He will be speaking on September 2, 2010, and discussing Sustainability, Transportation and Perspective.

Ardalan Vahidi is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Clemson Univeristy. On September 24, 2010, GTI/UTC along with Woodroof School of Mechanical Engineering at GA Tech will be co-sponsoring a talk by Dr. Vahidi entitled <em>Predictive Energy Management in Networked Vehicles: Exploring Traffic and Terrain for Fuel Savings.

Dr. David Boyce, Adjunct Professor at Northwestern University, will be visiting GA Tech on October 29, 2010 and discussing Unique User-Equilibrium Road Traffic Flows for Two User Classes.

Dr. Lucio Soibelman, Professor at Carnegie Mellon University, will be visiting GA Tech on September 17, 2010 and discussing Unique Data Management, Visualization and Knoweldge Discovery for Advanced Infrastructure Systems.</em></p>

Dr. Robert Bertini, Deputy Administrator of RITA at the US DOT, will be visiting GA Tech on November 23, 2010.

Finally, Dr. Anthony Perl, Professor at Simon Fraser University and Director of the Urban Studies Program, will be speaking on December 10, 2010 and discussing Urban Environmental Policy.
