Garrow Recognized by CUTC

To receive New Faculty Member Award for contributions to transportation

Dr. Laurie Garrow, assistant professor in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, is this year's recipient of the Council of University Transportation Centers-American Road and Transportation Builders Association (CUTC-ARTBA) New Faculty Member Award.

The CUTC-ARTBA award recognizes outstanding teaching and research contributions to the transportation field by a new tenure track faculty member in transportation. It is one of the most prestigious awards that a junior faculty member can win in the transportation field and comes with a cash stipend. Dr. Garrow's award will be presented at the 12th Annual CUTC Awards Banquet and Winter Meeting on January 10, 2009 in Washington, D.C.
